About us

54 Women, 54 Nations; is a bold Pan-African leadership initiative under the Far Fast Together (FFT) movement, co-founded in partnership with Afroculture Media.

We are building a historic alliance of 54 phenomenal African women, one representing each African country, who will lead national and diaspora teams, drive grassroots impact, and amplify Africa’s collective power through shared leadership, storytelling, and collaboration.

Whether you live in Kigali or New York, Lagos or London, Accra or Atlanta, Nairobi or Paris—this is for you. If your heart beats for Africa, you belong in this story. We are united by culture, not geography.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is simple:affirm and elevate the leadership and power of African women.Women are already leading in Africa.

They are decision makers, builders, and public voices shaping their communities and countries. What has been missing is recognition, investment, and visibility.

54 Women 54 Nations exists to address this gap because Africa’s future depends on women leading now. We do not empower African women. We back them, connect them, and amplify their impact. This is not charity. This is a shift in who holds power.

Our Approach

We identify 54 African women, one from each country, and equip them to lead national teams, design local projects, and deliver measurable change.

We provide leadership training, funding, tools, mentorship, and a global platform for storytelling. Our goal is not just visibility but long-term systems, networks, and legacies led by African women.

The Origin Story

54 Women 54 Nations was born from one urgent truth;African women are already leading. They do not need permission. They need investment, connection, and visibility.

The founders, Josephine Murphy (Far Fast Together) and Modupe Adara (Afroculture Media), shared a bold vision: identify 54 women, one from each African country, and give them the resources and platform to lead national teams and drive local projects.

The journey was not simple. It took hard choices, intense debate, and an unshakable commitment to build a model that could scale across 54 nations. What emerged is a partnership grounded in clear roles, shared strategy, and a belief in African women’s power to transform their countries and the continent.
